About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Four Lucky Kids (4LK) is a new kind of home-based healthcare service, founded by real-life parents—
Nurse Adreana and Dr. Bill—who believe children heal best where they feel safest: at home.
Their mission is to bring expert, compassionate care directly to families, inspired by the needs of their own four kids.

Our Story
Meet Bill and Adreana—the heart behind Four Lucky Kids.
Their story began during Bill’s fellowship at Miami Children’s Hospital (now Nicklaus Children’s), where a shared calling to medicine, family, and service brought them together. From the start, their bond was built on compassion, purpose, and a deep desire to make a difference.

After fellowship, they moved to Morgantown, West Virginia, where Bill began his career and their family’s journey took root. There, they built a close-knit community—but also uncovered a critical gap in care: West Virginia had no ECMO program.
ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) is a highly specialized therapy for patients in life-threatening cardiac or respiratory failure. Acting as an external heart-lung machine, it gives the body time to rest and recover when all else fails.
Fresh out of training, Bill took on the bold task of launching the state’s first ECMO program. He succeeded. Today, that same program continues to save lives and set the tone for a career marked by innovation and heart.

The family eventually returned to Florida, both for new opportunities and to be closer to home. At Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children—the region’s only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center—Bill joined a world-class ECMO team and went on to establish Central Florida’s first Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship. That program continues to train and inspire the next generation of pediatric intensive care physicians.
It was during those early days at Arnold Palmer, even before the pandemic, that a transformative idea began to take shape. While standing in the intermediate care unit, Bill envisioned a "Hospital Without Walls"—a way to bring expert-level, hospital-grade care directly into the homes of families.

Years later, after being recruited as Chief of Pediatric Critical Care at a local hospital, it became clear that true impact would require stepping outside the conventional system. And from that clarity, Four Lucky Kids was born.
Founded by Bill and Adreana and inspired by their own four children, 4LK represents a new kind of healthcare—one grounded in empathy, powered by innovation, and centered on the patient experience. It's about bringing care back to where it matters most: in the home, with heart, and with family always at the center.
